Fiscal Officer

The Township Fiscal Officer is an elected official and is independent of the Township Trustees, by law the Township Fiscal Officer must work closely with the Trustees. The Township Fiscal Officer must keep an accurate record of all township accounts and transactions (ORC 507.04). The Fiscal Officer follows generally accepted accounting practices in maintaining records and accounts.

Morgan Township’s Fiscal Officer oversees most of the record keeping for meeting minutes, public records requests and general correspondence. Morgan Township employs a Fiscal Officer, an Assistant Fiscal Officer and a part-time assistant.
